Photography: 41 weeks again!
This time around i wanted to record the growing bump in exactly the same spot and from exactly the same side every week. One of me and my bump, and one of me with Luna sitting on my bump. I thought it would be fun to see Luna's "seat" growing every week, but the best part of this collection to me is Luna. I didn't even think how it would be a perfect portrayal of her growth over 30 weeks! It's amazing to see how much she has grown and changed, from the wee little 10 month old at the beginning to the 16 month old toddler at the end.
While we could have reshot the last image when Luna was in a better mood I decided not to - it really portrays those first few days after Aurora's birth, when Luna was confused part of the time, angry another part of it, and her normal happy self the rest of it. Sharing her mummy's arms still isn't big on her priority list, but it gets better every day. Maybe we will update the photo once Aurora is one month old, then two, and so on.
The complete set of photos is HERE, best seen in slideshow format. I also made a quick video that is embedded below (no music, sorry I forgot in my haste to upload it!) with all of the photos. Looking through them makes me feel slightly nostalgic, but mainly elated. We made it, from the dire constant awful nausea of the first trimester, through Luna's first steps and first birthday, and the anatomy scan and fetal echocardiogram in April, right past the hospital stay and near birth at 36 weeks, right up until Aurora's pretty awesome birth at 40 weeks and 5 days. I don't know if I will ever be pregnant again, and I am so glad that we recorded all of these moments for both girls. While they will forever be embedded in my heart and my memories it will always be fantastic to have the visuals. And now we really must focus on taking more photos of the 4 of us together!
