"It's not fitness, it's life"

That's the slogan of the gym I just joined. Yes... I joined a gym and am actually going to it. Very regularly actually... About 5 times a week. It's been over two years since I had a drink, and over seven months since I had a cigarette, but I was starting to feel heavy and unfit. I know I will never be fat, or anywhere near that, and I'm very active, but I felt like I needed more. And a new challenge. So I decided that it was time to start training to run a half marathon later this year, and in order to do that I needed to get fit. It's been three weeks now and I already noticing a change... I'm eating and sleeping better and I feel less stressed after I have worked out. The first week my body just ached, but now it's getting used to it.

(I'm still scared of the treadmill, and I need to get over that... Every time I start running on it I feel like I am going to fly off and fall over).

I will of course, when the time is right and I feel ready this year, run a half marathon and raise money for charity. Anything I raise will go to my colleague Theresa's amazing new foundation, WORK+SHELTER by The Lotus Odyssey (see here for more info), and if anyone wants to join me it would make me really happy. Theresa is doing something I really believe in and I want to do everything I can to help her make this a success. If you remember a while back I posted about a book I had read called "The Blue Notebook" (see post here) - human, and specifically child, trafficking is a very important cause to follow and help in my world, and I think Theresa is doing something great to actually help stop this happening in India.
