I sometimes write poetry. It happens very randomly and comes out in one go, I literally can feel the words surging from my heart to my brain and falling out through my pen like a flash of lightning. If I don't have a pen and paper at hand at that moment then they are usually lost forever... I've kept many journals through-out the years and have been combing through them in order to find poems that I think will fit into a collection. I will post some of them here sporadically.
Oh those bells…
Another morning of church bells
Jangling away in my head.
Doom bells clashing with the snow’s party
Softly falling on my face;
Against the icy wind I brace my heart,
There is no clearance, there is no sale,
Future is an everyday option.
What appeared to be a good idea
Is today’s worst enemy, source of anger.
Always the same question, chanting along
With the incessant ring of the bells
Why oh why oh why oh why.
As soon as the snowflake falls to the ground
It soaks up the dirt of the street;
Sparkling for a while, lights going dim
Until all that is left is grey mush.
But the church still stands, snow, rain, sun
The bells never go rusty, always oiled
They just never fail or fall aground.
