Big Summer - Jennifer Weiner

I liked Big Summer more than Jennifer Weiner’s previous novel Mrs Everything. It was entertaining, sweet, funny, sad, and very much a contemporary look on the lives of 20 somethings today. Daphne Berg is busy juggling life as a nanny and an up and coming social media influencer when her old best friend and frenemy reappears in her life, asking her to be her maid of honor. Drue’s reappearance brings up a lot of mixed emotions, and while Daphne accepts the invitation, she moves forward carefully. I don’t want to add any spoilers, but this novel deals with friendship, forgiveness, and the huge influence of social media on our lives. There are revelations and twists and a tragedy and it’s all woven together in a way that you won’t want to put it down.

This is a great summer read in my opinion!
